Train the Trainer Workshop: Enhancing Customer Service Delivery for MSMEs


A training workshop, hosted by the Caribbean Development Bank, with the aim to enhance customer service delivery for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) took place in Georgetown, Barbados. BELTRAIDE, represented by Mr. Brian Lin, Business & Investment Facilitation Officer, had the honor to receive hands-on training experience in the realm of customer service delivery. Taipei International Food Show 2012


The Belize Trade & Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) attended the 2012 Taipei International Food Show, held in Taipei, Taiwan. The Taipei International Food Show is one of Asia’s premier food shows, and had celebrated its 22nd birthday this year. The show itself has been a popular platform for both regional and local industry players to launch their products into the Taiwan and overseas markets. A Snapshot at Belize’s Renewable Potential!


Since achieving independence in 1981, Belize’s energy sector has evolved from one that was heavily dependent on fossil fuels to now very much diverse with significant sources of renewable energy. Currently, the country gets its energy from four main sources: imported fossil fuels, imported electricity, locally generated hydro-electricity, and biomass energy. While close to half of the total existing power is derived from hydro source, there exists a visible gap for further expansion of the renewable sources, in replacement of the often costly and unpredictable fossil derivative (fuel). The Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (CAIPA) hosted a training course on investment promotion for its member states. BELTRAIDE was represented by Mr. Brian Lin, Business & Investment Facilitation Officer, and Mr. Mark Noralez, Agribusiness Specialist.
