Primary Function

The Training facilitator is responsible to develop, coordinate and facilitate training workshops and seminars. He/she creates and delivers training and education programs in formal and informal settings for adult learners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work in collaboration with the Training and Recruitment Officer for the development and coordination of training schedules;
  2. Design, plan, organize and facilitate orientation programs;
  3. Research literature and other materials to identify training materials that represent the most current evidence-based practices for BTEC’s specific training programs.
  4. Assist in the development of training aids, such as manuals, handbooks and other related items as needed;
  5. Assist in the organization, development or sourcing of training programs to meet specific training needs of client-enterprises;
  6. Responsible for administering and analyzing training evaluations from both training participants and client-enterprises;
  7. Document training activities in the BTEC’s CRM;
  8. Facilitate learning through a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, lectures and virtual trainings;
  9. Facilitate formal and informal workshops and learning experiences for large and small groups.
  10. Liaise with subject matter experts and industry experts on the content for training programs;
  11. Provide quarterly reports on program impact to management;
  12. Track and report on training outcomes, such as number of participants, subjects and subject level, and other predetermined indications;
  13. Work closely with Curriculum Development Officer to design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness and impact;
  14. Evaluate and make recommendations on training materials and methodologies;
  15. Source facilitators from the community for specialized programs and coordinate the activities for these facilitators;
  16. Carry out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with facilitation responsibilities. To include, but not limited to, the provision of outlines, development and uploading of content on testing website, completion and compilation of all assessment records per training cohort

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Education or Psychology
  • Minimum of two (2) year in training, education, curriculum development, or project management
  • Second language is an asset

Knowledge/Skills/Attitudes

  • Candidate must have superb attention to detail as well as strong organizational skills
  • Must be deadline oriented with the ability to multitask and handle various projects and responsibilities
  • Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to operate with minimum supervision
  • Excellent time management skills/ ability to prioritize and deliver planned results in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive communicator, problem solver and goal oriented
  • Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively in front of varied populations
  • Advance computer skills in MS Office and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license
