Belize Commercial Manufacturing Industries (BCMI), a local company, has recently established a “State of the Art” cabinetry, kitchen and furniture manufacturing facility in Southern Belize. The facility brings new technology, innovation and manufacturing capabilities to Belize. The BCMI factory fills a much-needed vacuum in the market for producing high quality hospitality finishes, furniture, case goods, cabinetry and kitchens that are required by developers of large-scale real estate and hospitality projects, particularly as the Tourism Industry continues on its progressive path of increasing growth. It is also noteworthy that BCMI is producing Belize’s first MDF (Medium Density Fiber board) interior doors and MDF crown moldings, which will be featured in new development, renovations and hardware stores across Belize in late 2018.

The BCMI facility currently has two (2) Industrial Scale CNC (Computer Numerical Control Routers) – these Routers have the highest tolerance and ability to cut precisely, and deliver products in a fraction of the standard delivery time when compared to a conventional woodworking shop. The facility can design any product in CAD software (Computer Aided Drafting) and further transfer the design to the CNC machines for production. BCMI is the only facility of its kind in Belize that is using modern composites to reduce wear and tear, maintenance costs for developers and reduce the drain on Belize’s precious rainforests. The use of modern composites like MDF and Melamine have taken over the global stage.

BCMI’s 4,000 Sq. feet facility provides speed and efficiency, with the use of industrial grade manufacturing equipment and dual commercial Scale CNC Routers that provides time, labor and cost savings to potential developers crossing the productive sectors.

Currently, BCMI is supplying Cabinetry, Wardrobes, Interior Doors, Chairs and Tables, Kitchens, Built-Ins and Vanities to Hotel Projects and Restaurants across Belize. With a staff of eight (8) full time employees, BCMI plans to increase to over twenty-five 25 staff over the next eighteen (18) months. BCMI also plans to expand its product offerings to Belizean households by partnering with Courts, a retail chain supplier of furniture and appliances, and further export its products to the CARICOM region.

BCMI is one of such testaments, which continuously demonstrates the endless possibilities in Belize.
