EXPORTBelize, a unit of BELTRAIDE is pleased to presents a workshop entitled “Good Manufaturing Processes (GMP)” to be held at La Inmaculada Credit Union in Orange Walk Town on August 23rd, 2018. The training runs from 9AM – 4pm.

The objective of this workshop is for companies to have a better understanding of the quality system regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Participants will learn about the 9 universal principles of GMP which include:

• Factory Structure and Fabrication
• Storage Facilities
• Process Equipment/Machinery
• Personnel Standards
• Food Handling Practices
• Quality Assurance
• Pest Prevention
• Cleaning Systems

Management Control Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), a prerequisite for HACCP, is important as it ensures that products are produced with good quality and food safety standards which minimizes or eliminate contamination or errors. This protects the consumer from purchasing a product which is not effective or even harmful which can result in additional costs to the producer. GMP is necessary for the implementation of any food safety system which is necessary for export markets.
