Transfer_of_Methodologies_DSC_6571BELTRAIDE, through its SBDCBelize Unit, with funding support from the Centro Regional de Promocion de la MIPYME (CENPROMYPE) and United States of America, is implementing a project entitled “Regional Training and Certification Program for SBDCs in Central America”. Under the third component of the project: “Ensure women entrepreneurs receive equal access to opportunities and services at SBDCs / support organizations”, a workshop will be held to transfer a methodology on the implementation of new specialized Women Entrepreneurship Service to SBDC’s and Business Support Organizations in the region.

The objective of the workshop is for support organizations to adapt and replicate the Transfer_of_Methodologies_DSC_6574women entrepreneurship model, in order to promote the economic autonomy of women, with a focus on dynamic enterprises in the SICA region. The transfer process will conclude with the implementation of the women entrepreneurship service from August to October, 2018. The women entrepreneurship service will contribute to achieving progress not only in women’s business aspects but also in their decision-making and personal empowerment.

The workshop for the Transfer of Methodologies on the Implementation of a New Specialized Women Entrepreneurship Service Through the SBDCs of the SICA Region will be held at the Belize Training and Employment Centre (BTEC) Enterprise Room, ITVET Compound, Freetown Road, Belize City, on June 26-29, 2018 from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Other strategic partners include: The US Department of State, The European Union and The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
