The third annual Central America and Caribbean Impact Investment Forum was held on November 8 and 9, 2017 in Antigua, Guatemala where BELTRAIDE was invited to speak and provide the Caribbean perspective on the panel titled “Innovation in the Public Sector for Investments: Utopia or Necessity.” BELTRAIDE was represented by Mr. Hero Balani, Manager of BelizeINVEST, Generation. Other panelists included representatives sharing experience from Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

The forum focuses on building connections between industry stakeholders, expanding existing investment portfolios, creating opportunities and addressing challenges to sector growth in the region. The theme for 2017 is “Bridging Gaps and Boosting Opportunities” in convening an innovative and relevant dialogue among actors in the region’s ecosystem to create concrete actions and solutions in closing the gaps that impede impact investment. The two day forum includes over 30 unique events including panels, keynotes, action labs and networking.
