In its continuous quest to inform the general public about its role of attracting and facilitating new investment for Belize, the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE), through its Small Business Development Centre (SBDCBelize), actively participated in the second annual BTIA OW Expo held on Saturday, 27th August at the Queen Elizabeth Park in downtown Orange Walk Town.

A large number of Expo goers visited the event. Those visiting the SBDCBelize booth had an opportunity to sample and buy products from Fibber’s Sauces, K & K’s Beauty Products, Northern Heat Pepper Sauces and enjoy the delicious bread from Rosita’s Capricho N Bon.

Visitors also obtained the latest information on BELTRAIDE’s projects as well as information on the work of its various units. Numerous brochures and INVESTBelize Magazines were on display. There were also numerous give-aways on BELTRAIDE’s promotional items.

The Orange Walk Tourism Expo was developed to highlight Orange Walk Town as a tourist destination with the aim to attract more Belizeans and international tourists.

This year, the BTIA Expo included the participation of out-district businesses, which showcased the various Belizean products and services, which form part of the Tourism Industry in Belize.  Different Orange Walk businesses and services were also included. Such products and services included hotels, restaurants, tour guides, tour operators, cultural groups, artisans and educational institutions. Along with these products and services, the different cultures of Belize were highlighted through the traditional cultural dishes, cultural music and cultural presentations.

Families enjoyed visiting the booths and learned about the different tourism businesses, services and promotions offered. There were town tours, boat rides, cultural presentations, musical performances, children and adult games as well as raffles throughout the day.
