Launch of National Agro-Processing Training Program ROC Taiwan


The Agro-Processing Program is one that promises to upgrade the income of youth and women. It is currently the Pilot Program of Belize’s soy sauce production and commercialized dehydrated papaya program. Today, the program which is a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Agriculture and the Technical Mission of the Republic of China Taiwan, was officially launched.

It is under this theme that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Agriculture along with the Technical Mission of the Republic of China, Taiwan, launched the National Agro-processing Training Program in the City of Belmopan. The project is a social benefit program which according to Food Specialist from the ROC Taiwan Technical Mission, Carson Huang, started in 2006. He told us how the program has grown. Health and Safety Standards for Archaeological Reserves


Notice is hereby given under Section 4(1) of the Standards (Preparation and Declaration) Regulations, 1997 that the Belize Bureau of Standards proposes to recommend to the Standards Advisory Council that the following draft standard be declared a compulsory Belize Standard.

The Belize Draft Standard for Health and Safety of Archaeological Sites is intended to provide the minimum requirements for health and safety at Archaeological Reserves, which includes terrestrial and cave sites. It provides health and safety guidance to individuals and enterprises, including community-based and tourism organisations, when visiting archaeological reserves in Belize.
