The region continues to prepare for negotiations with Canada and I encourage continued feedback on matters discussed below concerning Canada. I understand the importance that many persons have been placing on continued market access to the USA beyond September 30, 2020. (Please see http://crnm.org/index.php?view=article&catid=44%3Abilaterals&id=52%3Acaricom-us&option=com_content&Itemid=79 for further info on this). However, the region has prioritized the Canadian negotiations at this time, with the commitment to examine approaches to the USA afterwards.

For Canada, we are moving to the stage where legal text is being finalized and if this matter impacts on the business of your members, it may be prudent to seek to increase the consultations with them urgently so that your critical issues are incorporated into these legal texts. I remain at your disposal to assist with addressing any queries you may have on these negotiations.

Please also continue to check our website(www.crnm.org) for tradenotes and other trade information products that may be useful to you and your members.
