SECOND ISSUE OF THE EPA NEWSLETTER FOR 2012 PUBLISHED

(Caribbean Community Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The CARICOM Secretariat-based Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Implementation Unit on 4 May published the second Issue for 2012 of its flagship newsletter, EPA Implementation Bulletin. It delves into a range of matters germane to the EPA implementation narrative, focusing particular attention on ACP-EU relations.

The Bulletin forms part of the Unit’s Public Education Programme. The electronically available publication is an effort to provide authoritative news, rigorous and original analysis and expert views on the CARIFORUM-EU EPA and its implementation.

May Is World Trade Month

Washington — World Trade Month celebrates the benefits robust international trade partnerships bring to national and local economies.

U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson on May 2 issued a statement in honor of World Trade Month, which the United States marks annually with a series of state and local events across the country to promote U.S. trade relationships and provide resources to U.S. businesses seeking to export their goods and services around the world.

May has been recognized as World Trade Month since the 1920s, thanks to an effort led by the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. World Trade Week, which falls in the third week of May, is recognized by presidential proclamation annually. Continue reading “May Is World Trade Month”
